I'm finally expanding the Porsche 911 eITB+EFi-lineup to include the the 3.6 ltr. air-cooled twin-spark engine!
The first test bunny is already sitting in the workshop, ready to have a set of 50mm carbs replaced with 50mm triple electronic ITBs. (47mm has previously been featured on 3.0 and 3.2 ltr. engines).

New key features currently under development for the 3.6:

- 12x Coil-on-Plug solution for twin-spark config
- OEM Distributor -> camshaft position solution
- New crankshaft position sensor bracket
- 3-bolt manifolds & PEEK thermal spacers w. O-ring grooves
- New threaded velocity stacks suited for 50mm throttle bore

Hungry for more details? Check out the documentation covering the current 3.0 and 3.2 setup that can be delivered for both 34- and 40mm intake ports:

There's been a pretty substantial gap between the dual 54mm ETB-solution on 3D printed intakes and a single center mounted TB, locking most mid-sized street driven ACVW engines out of the smooth and hassle-free world of 21st century DBW tech - until now!

The adapter bolts on to your existing match-ported IDF/DRLA manifolds and the ETBs are fitted with 335 cc/min injectors sufficient for most NA applications up to around 200 hp.

Mock-up has been performed, dimensions are locked in, and a handful of test bunnies are already standing ready to give these a try during the upcoming season.

The external CAN based WBO2 controller has become a sought after addition for users requiring per-bank fuel control on V- and Boxer engines.
I'm currently in the process of spinning another batch of the highly versatile Pro-8 ECU and have decided to update the old integrated WBO2 controller and switch over from an analog to a CAN-based interface with the main processor.
The update allows for dual setups to be realized with only one CAN expansion module, saving on cost, wiring, space and complexity.
.. And we'll also have one more analog input to our disposal ;)

In the future, it should be possible to daisy-chain multiple CAN-modules to implement per-cylinder lambda-monitoring.

Every B-tec ECU that goes out the door is bundled with a wideband sensor for use with the integrated WBO2 controller - it's crucial to keep them in stock 😉

Had the pleasure of hands-on tuning this wonderful bus a couple of weeks ago! 🤓

This 1641cc features one of the most recent renditions of the center mounted EFi conversion kits with the updated throttle body adapter, latest billet fuel rails with quick-release connectors and the quite capable B-tec ECU Mini. The engine also featured stock aftermarket heads, an Engle 110 cam and a Vintage Speed exhaust system.

Common belief will usually have it that the OEM carb manifold won't perform that well with slightly aggressive cams such as the Engle 110, and that you'll typically suffer from choppy idle and low-speed drivability. Keeping this in mind, it was quite satisfying that we managed to attain smooth and "stock-like" manners after some careful tweaking of the ECUs MAP signal sampling strategy.

As more kits like these are delivered and tuned, the software database for different engine combos is growing steadily which in turn reduces time & cost spent during initial setup and tuning - to the point where you can have a true turn-key solution with a pre-configured ECU ready to go 😉

Another MB113 EMS package bundled with a short flying lead and CAN-based WBO2 modules for per-bank fuel control and monitoring.

It's easy to appreciate the clean implementation the B-tec ECU Pro provides with its eight integrated coil drivers being able to control the OEM passive dual coilpacks fitted to this iconic twin-spark V8 without the need to retrofit external igniters or even different ignition coils👌🏼

Moving is done and I've finally gotten more or less settled into the new office and are returning to a more steady work flow these days.

Last package going out from the old basement workshop before I box it all up in preparation for moving.
My family and I are working on getting the new house ready and I'll be offline for a while until I've managed to cram all workshop inventory and equipment into the loft of the garage😅

It'll be tighter and more confined compared to the old shop, but hopefully my plan will work out for a decent and usable space 🤞🏼
