Tiepoint is featured in Finansavisen today.

The article highlights Tiepoint as an exciting company with solid operations, breakthrough technology and significant opportunities ahead. Chairman Leiv Askvig, from Sundt Air Holding, expresses strong confidence in the company and its position going forward.

That confidence is rooted in a company that combines commercial traction with deep operational experience. For us, this is about making existing and future drones smarter. Tiepoint builds on more than 18 years of operational drone experience, developing solutions for real-world needs across emergency preparedness, environmental monitoring, the maritime sector and total defence.

As Mats Mikalsen Kristensen says in the article: We are not an AI company trying to teach drones. We are drone operators building AI for operations we understand.

Takk for kjempehyggelig besøk! Vi ser frem til å se deg igjen under løpet den 14. august.

SAR61°N in Lom brought together people, technology and operational experience from across Norway’s emergency preparedness community.

For Tiepoint, it was a valuable opportunity to meet the people who work with coordination, response and rescue operations in the field, and to explore how better information sharing can support safer and more efficient decision-making during large-scale incidents.

A key focus during the exercise was airspace coordination in a complex operational environment, with several airborne resources active at the same time. The police tested the airspace coordinator role, while manned aircraft, drone pilots, fire and rescue services and incident commanders worked with a shared operational picture as the scenario developed.

In situations like this, common situational awareness is essential.

We see great potential in the tools now being developed, including FAKS from the Joint Rescue Coordination Centres and Nordlys from the police. By connecting these systems through APIs and enabling relevant information to flow between them, all actors can work from the same updated understanding of the incident.

This meant that drone pilots and incident commanders from fire and rescue services could see search areas, live operational updates and the dynamic development of the incident directly on the map, both on screen and inside the drone controller through our Tiepoint TCI solution.

This points toward safer flight operations, better coordination and more efficient procedures in future search and rescue missions.

Together with Intel, we also demonstrated how secure and efficient server infrastructure can support mission-critical technology in the field. Hardware for good, applied where it matters.

Thank you to everyone we met during an inspiring and highly valuable week.

A special thank you to the Stiftelsen Norsk Luftambulanse for organizing SAR61°N, to the Police for airspace coordination, and to MIDT-NORGE 110-SENTRAL IKS, NEDRE ROMERIKE BRANN- OG REDNINGSVESEN IKS, Norwegian People's Aid / Norsk Folkehjelp, Hodet Over Vann, Forsvaret - Norwegian Armed Forces, 330 Squadron, Intel and all the other contributors working to strengthen emergency preparedness in Norway.

We look forward to continuing this work.

We are proud to announce that Tiepoint and DIT Services have entered into a strategic partnership to advance drone-based oil spill response and environmental monitoring.

This collaboration brings together Norwegian and Brazilian expertise in offshore drone operations, environmental monitoring, emergency preparedness, and operational technology.

DIT Services is a leading Brazilian drone company with extensive experience from offshore operations for the oil and gas industry and environmental monitoring in Brazil. Tiepoint brings advanced software, AI-supported tools, mapping, real-time situational awareness, and operational control through our TCI platform.

As part of the partnership, DIT Services will adopt Tiepoint’s TCI software platform to support advanced drone operations in demanding oil spill response environments. At the same time, the companies will collaborate operationally on individual projects, new international markets, training, procedures, and response capacity.

With a combined team of more than 100 trained offshore pilots, Tiepoint and DIT Services are now among the largest operators in this specialist field, conducting daily drone operations across Europe and South America.

By combining DIT Services’ strong local knowledge and offshore operational experience with Tiepoint’s technology, procedures, and international expertise, we believe this partnership creates a powerful platform for the future of drone-based environmental monitoring and emergency response.
We would like to thank DIT Services for an exciting and productive week in Norway, where we explored opportunities, shared expertise, and formalized our cooperation.

We look forward to developing this partnership further and to the opportunities it will create in Norway, Brazil, Latin America, and international markets.

Together, we aim to improve safety, strengthen preparedness, and contribute to better environmental protection.

This week, Tiepoint is attending the NOSCA Seminar 2026 in Bergen, where oil spill response professionals from around the world are gathered to share knowledge, build relationships and discuss what it takes to keep our oceans clean and safe.

On Wednesday, during Exercise Bergen, we supported the large-scale oil spill response exercise by flying drones from the observation vessel. Our team demonstrated both our operational drone capacity and how live video can be streamed directly into a map-based system together with relevant metadata, giving responders a clearer real-time picture of the situation from above.

This provided a strong foundation for our presentation on Thursday, where Terje Kristensen and Robert Holand shared how Tiepoint’s Time Critical Intelligence solutions combine real-time situational awareness, drone streaming, GIS-referenced data, AI-supported analysis and decision-support tools for incident response.

Oil spill response depends on timely information, trusted data and effective collaboration. We are proud to contribute to this important work and to be part of a seminar that brings together expertise, technology and operational experience from across the global preparedness and response community.

Thank you to NOSCA, Clean Oceans, NOFO, Equinor, Kystverket, DIT and all partners involved for an excellent arena for insight, cooperation and practical learning.

We are proud to be part of a new research and innovation project on drones in fire and rescue services, funded by Norges forskningsråd and led by SINTEF Digital.

Emergency calls are often brief and unclear. In the first critical minutes, response is therefore often based on worst-case assumptions. A drone can often reach the scene before personnel in a vehicle and stream live video, giving emergency services a better basis for scaling the response up or down.

The project will explore how drones can be used as a response service for alarms and reported incidents, including autonomous BVLOS operations and the use of U-space.

Tiepoint will contribute with the operational framework needed to make this work in practice: training, documentation, procedures and operational governance.

Our job is to help ensure that the project is safe, compliant, scalable and ready for real operational use.

At Tiepoint, we operate under a cross-border Light UAS Operator Certificate, LUC, giving us one of the most comprehensive authorisations for drone operations in Europe.

A LUC is not just an approval of procedures or individual operations. It is an approval of the organisation itself.

This means that Tiepoint has demonstrated the required structure, competence, safety management, compliance processes, and operational control to assess and quality-assure our own drone operations under the scope of our authorisation.

With this organisational framework in place, including dedicated Safety Management and Compliance functions, Tiepoint is able to support drone operations both in Norway and across other European countries.

Under our LUC, the process for conducting cross-border operations becomes more structured and efficient. This helps simplify applications and coordination with national aviation authorities, making cross-border drone operations faster, safer, and more predictable.

For organisations connecting to our TRONE system, this can mean:

✅ Faster access to training and competence
✅ Proven operational procedures
✅ Quality assurance and compliance support
✅ The ability to conduct complex drone operations across borders without building a large and complex organisation from scratch

At Tiepoint, we take flight safety seriously. We believe that sharing knowledge, working together, and following strong procedures contribute to a safer and more professional drone industry.

Fire and rescue services are under increasing pressure to respond faster, see more, and make better decisions in complex situations.

That is why many of the larger fire departments in Norway operate drones under Tiepoint’s approval for civil state aviation.

Through our TRONE concept, Tiepoint provides the aviation framework around the operation: documentation, training, pilot checkout, operational control, compliance, and continuous support.

This allows fire and rescue services to strengthen their aerial preparedness without having to build a full-scale aviation organisation of their own.

The result is simple:

✅ More operational capability.

✅ Less administrative burden.

✅ A safer and more compliant way to get airborne.
