CERTIFICATE OF APPROVAL OF SERVICE SUPPLIER:
Our dedication to improving safety, health, environment and welfare of the maritime industry is what Global Maritime is known for during more than forty years.

We are therefore delighted to announce that Global Maritime has been certified as approved service supplier of Inventory of Hazardous Material (IHM) by RINA.

The certification is to fulfill and support the Ship Recycling Regulation (EU SRR) adopted by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union. It brings forward the requirements of the 2009 Hong Kong Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships.

EU SRR requires all ships calling EU-ports to have onboard a verified IHM with a statement of compliance at the earliest by 31st of December 2020. We are proud to announce that Global Maritime has successfully installed the 40 km Fiber Optic Cable to the Njord Field for Equinor ASA and Partners.

The telecommunication cable was installed using the vessel Olympic Challenger, supplied by Reach Subsea. We want to thank Equinor for trusting us with this project, and all interface parties and subcontractors for good cooperation!

Furthermore, we want to thank: Nexans, Aquatic and Vestbase.

PROJECT UPDATE, MARINE OPERATIONS:

In mid-May our Marine operations department will install the new Njord Fiber Optic Cable (FOC) between the existing Halten Link Fiber Optic Cable and the Njord Field, where they will be using the CSV Olympic Challenger.

The project has just met an important milestone, as the 40 km cable was successfully delivered to Vestbase in Kristiansund, Norway.

– It is impressive that during these challenging times all companies have adapted to the situation and are still able to deliver according to the given milestones. This has only been possible with a close cooperation between all parties. With this milestone met we are on track for the upcoming installation in May, says Asbjørn Wilhelmsen in Equinor.

GOOD NEWS: Global Maritime has been awarded the Marine Warranty Survey contract by Equinor for the Hywind Tampen project. The project is still awaiting PUD approval but the intention is to start soon with the main offshore campaigns planned for 2022.

The CEO of Global Maritime, Jonny Logan, responds to the contract award with following : "I’m really excited and proud on behalf of the GM Team that we have been awarded this contract. Floating wind is strategically important for our continued growth within renewable energy. This project gives us yet another opportunity to show our strength and unique competence within this field."

NY GRØNN KONTRAKT: Global Maritime sikrer seg kontrakt innen flytende vind!

Equinor har tildelt Global Maritime kontrakten for Marine Warranty på Hywind Tampen-prosjektet. Prosjektet er avhengig av en PUD godkjennelse.

Prosjektet starter umiddelbart med planlagt offshoreinstallasjon i 2022.

Global Maritime har lang erfaring innen offshore-vind og tildelingen av denne kontrakten bekrefter vår unike kompetanse innen fornybar energi.

NEW DP CONTRACT AWARDED TO GLOBAL MARITIME IN MALAYSIA

Global Maritime is a truly global provider of Dynamic Positioning (DP) Assurance services. This is evidenced by our latest contract award by KPOC (Kebabangan Petroleum Operating Company) for a three year agreement for Marine Assurance Verifications in Malaysia.

This week our Marine and DP experts from Global Maritime Malaysia successfully completed the first DP assurance inspection on behalf of KPOC, which is a joint venture between Petronas Carigali, ConocoPhillips and Shell for the development and production sharing.
