As the world comes together to watch the FIFA World Cup, we'll witness incredible displays of athleticism, endurance, and skill.

Yet, physical fitness alone does not eliminate the risk of sudden cardiac arrest.

Nearly 75% of sudden cardiac arrest cases in young athletic populations occur in basketball, football, and soccer.

Preparedness makes the difference.

When immediate bystander CPR is combined with early AED use, survival rates can exceed 90%.

From professional stadiums to local playing fields, having trained responders, accessible AEDs, and confident bystanders helps create safer environments for athletes at every level.

How can simulation help improve the systems people work in?

Victoria Brazil shares how translational simulation can help teams explore real healthcare environments, test new workflows, introduce new equipment, and support improvement in practice.

At , she will join us for a workshop on June 17 to explore how AI-enabled tools can help design translational simulations, analyze data, and inform healthcare improvement.

Hope to see you there! 👋

What if it were them?

During CPR & AED Awareness Week, we’re reminded that the person who needs CPR is often someone we love. And the person close enough to help is often not a healthcare professional.

Hands-only CPR is simple to learn and can help keep blood flowing until emergency responders arrive.

Share this with someone in your life. You never know when that knowledge could matter. ❤️

Great weekend for women’s football in Oslo during the UEFA Women’s Champions League Final.
More than 40,000 people visited the Fan Festival, and many took the opportunity to stop, try, and learn CPR together with volunteers from the Norwegian Resuscitation Council.

A key part of the conversations was around CPR for women. New bras on the manikins were tested to highlight a simple but important point: women are less likely to receive CPR. The bra might seem like a minor detail, but the questions it raises are not.

Pediatric and perinatal simulation leaders from around the world are gathering in Rome this week for IPSSW 2026.

The conversations? Focused on one thing: How do we ensure simulation truly improves clinical outcomes for infants and children?

High-quality simulation is not optional. It is essential.
