Another major Munin lift completed ✅

Things are moving fast in Haugesund. The Munin crane is now installed on the topside for Aker BP ASArbp 💪

Delivered by Palfinger, the crane weighs around 170 tonnes and stretches more than 50 metres.

Munin is an unmanned production platform for the Yggdrasil area in the North Sea and the first of its kind on the Norwegian continental shelf, designed for remote operation from shore 🤖

With construction in the final phase and commissioning underway, the project remains on track for sail away after the summer.

Munin continues to take shape in Haugesund as a major steel section is now in place on the topside for Aker BP ASA 🏗️

Pre-installed piping and equipment made this a demanding lift, completed safely in close coordination with the heavy lift vessel Ugland Construction A/S 💪

Heavy snowfall the day before.
A giant in motion.

The Munin topside has now been safely moved out of the North Sea Hall at our yard in Haugesund.

Munin is an unmanned production platform for Aker BP ASA in the Yggdrasil area and a first of its kind on the Norwegian continental shelf. With the load out completed, the project now enters its final phase towards sail-away after the summer.
