Day one at SMM 2026 delivered exactly what we came to Hamburg for.

Our stand was busy throughout the day, with conversations covering marine cooling, FoamSafe Transition™️, maintenance projects, products and new commercial opportunities.

Most importantly, several of those conversations have already developed into promising new contacts, follow-up meetings and agreements that we will be working on after SMM.

It was also a day of reconnecting with customers, suppliers, partners and industry colleagues from around the world. Some relationships go back many years, while others started yesterday.

A productive first day, and we are only getting started.

SMM 2026 is underway in Hamburg, and one of the best parts of being back is who you meet within the first hours.

We started the exhibition catching up with Michael Connolly from Green Ocean Solutions Ltd., Christoph Fischer-Zernin from Säkaphen GmbH, Lisa Fernstrum and Sean Fernstrum from R.W. Fernstrum & Company.

Suppliers, partners, industry colleagues and, yes, sometimes competitors. That is part of what makes SMM such a valuable meeting place. We work in the same industry, face many of the same challenges and always have something to learn from each other.

A very enjoyable start to four busy days in Hamburg.

Raymond Engelsen and the NGP team are looking forward to many more conversations as the week continues.

The foam is gone. The PFAS isn't

PFAS residues can remain in tanks, pipework and other parts of the system long after the old firefighting foam has been removed.

With FoamSafe Transition, we support the full process from removing the old foam and cleaning the system to laboratory testing, waste handling and refilling with fluorine free foam.
