PFAS compliance is not achieved through water flushing 💧🚫

Firefighting systems need attention long before they are needed ‼️

We recently carried out cleaning of the fire foam tank onboard ferry MF Petter Dass ⛴️

Removing residues and contaminants helps ensure the system remains reliable and ready for operations

Work like this is also important to ensure vessels remain compliant with current regulations. These regulations are one of the main drivers behind the industry moving toward PFAS free firefighting foam systems.

Proper cleaning and system control is an important step when preparing for upcoming inspections and surveys.

Following up on last week’s work 👏

Henrik has now completed the maintenance and carried out the final testing of the RAASM SpA air operated diaphragm pumps purchased from Würth Norge As. In the photos, he is performing the final test and checking the flow to confirm that everything is operating as intended.

Last week, our team visited Weka Marine in Rotterdam for dedicated technical training on BOX cooler systems.

Even with solid experience already in place, spending time directly with the manufacturer gave us valuable technical insight and a deeper understanding of the systems we deliver and support.

A sincere thank you to the entire Weka Marine team for the warm welcome, professional guidance and excellent training 💚💙

We return home with strengthened knowledge and even greater confidence in the solutions we provide to our customers and partners.

This week we’ve had Henrik with us for a work placement 👋

He’s been getting hands-on in our workshop, working on the overhaul of RAASM SpA diaphragm pumps purchased from Würth Norge As , replacing diaphragms, balls and seals as part of a complete overhaul kit.

Real maintenance work, real responsibility and solid learning along the way.

We have recently completed a quality control review at A.I.M. Chemical Industries Pte Ltd in Singapore, one of our long-standing production partners.

The review confirmed full compliance across all agreed control points and is part of our continuous work to ensure reliable and responsible production across our supply chain.

Our collaboration with A.I.M. Chemicals dates back to 2013 and continues to support stable deliveries and consistent product quality.

Time is up for PFOS containing firefighting foam.

As of 1 January 2026, the IMO ban is in force. Firefighting foam with PFOS can no longer be used or carried onboard vessels, and compliance is now checked during surveys and Port State Control inspections.

If your fire and safety systems have not yet been assessed, action is required.
