👨‍🏫 Visual Intelligence Online Seminar: Formulating Explainability Principles for a Self-Explainable Model Through Information Theoretic Learning 🤖 🧠

Changkyu Choi will present an approach in the field of document visual question answering (docVQA) that converts the conventional docVQA model into an inherently self-explainable system.

Choi is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the UiT Machine Learning Group and SFI Visual Intelligence.

Centre director Robert Jenssen joins prestigious advisory committee at leading research institute 🤖🧠👏

We are thrilled to announce that Visual Intelligence director Robert Jenssen has accepted an invitation to join the Scientific Advisory Committee at Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (MPI-IS).

MPI-IS is described as Europe's most prominent research centre within intelligent systems, a research field which encompasses subfields such as AI, machine learning, and similar scientific disciplines.

The centre is a part of the Max Planck Society, which is known for its groundbreaking work within fundamental science and advanced research.

- MPI-IS' work has significant impact on various academic fields and practical applications of technology. I look forward to contributing together with these experts, to learn from the high scientific quality that the MPI-IS represents, and to bring new ideas back to Norwegian AI research, says Jenssen.
