Norway's first solar racing team, aiming to debut at the iLumen European Solar Challenge in 2026

For the 2026 season, Nordlys NTNU is preparing to participate in the iLumen European Solar Challenge 2026🇧🇪. This will be an important opportunity for the team to test the car’s performance, reliability and energy efficiency in competitive race conditions🏁

We chose AIKO’s ABC technology because every watt matters in a solar car. Their high-efficiency solar cells allow us to make the most of the limited surface area on the vehicle, which is crucial for performance and energy efficiency. We are proud to have AIKO supporting Nordlys NTNU on our journey toward the iLumen European Solar Challenge 2026!

Project leader Rasmus gave a presentation at Dokkhuset, about how we can collectively drive the technologies of tomorrow and why renewable energy is the way forward.
Through student initiatives at Nordlys NTNU, we aim to give students the opportunity to explore creative and engaging ways to innovate within renewable technology. By involving students with a technological background in projects, we can show that renewable energy is exciting, and how it represents the future of technology.
