As COP26 is coming the timing is perfect for a funfact on how copepods play a part in the uptake of CO2:

Did you know?

That tiny copepods have a significant impact on the carbon dioxide uptake in the ocean.

It is estimated that copepods absorb 1-2 billion tons of carbon per year, which is equivalent to 1/3 of all human carbon emissions – making them one of the largest carbon sinks in the world.

Perhaps copepods are not only an excellent source of nutrition, but they also play a major role in battling climate change?

Does this make the copepod a climate hero?
