FramSat-1 started as a dream: to build Norway’s first orbital satellite from Norwegian soil, with the promise that we, the students, would be the ones to make it happen. And we did!🚀⭐️🛰️

This project would not have been possible without all the passionate students who have dedicated hours, years, energy and expertise to make this dream come true. Thank you for your hard work🩵. We also want to give a special thanks to some people who have gone far beyond what was expected of them!

Yesterday marked a moment 6 years in the making, building on the collective efforts of countless students, as we saw the first Norwegian orbital satellite launched from Norwegian soil. 

We are still in awe of what we experienced yesterday. Seeing the launch from Andøya, receiving the first beacons from FramSat-1 just a few hours later, and being met with so many congratulations has made this moment truly unforgettable.

A huge thank you to Isar Aerospaces for giving FramSat-1 a path from Andøya to orbit. Thank you for the respect, support, and professionalism you have shown us in every step of this process. It has meant the world to us to be among your first customers. 

Thank you so much to those that believed in us to make this possible. To Direktoratet for romvirksomhet, Andøya space, and NTNU.

Thank you to ESA and their Boost! Program, and DLR´s Microlauncher Competition which allowed us to get a spot on the rocket.

Orbit is excited to witness the launch of our satellite, FramSat-1, aboard Isar Aerospace’s Onward and Upward mission at 20:00 UTC tonight 🚀

After arriving at Andøya yesterday and being welcomed by the midnight sun, we’re now counting down the hours until we hopefully see the rocket soar into Orbit.

This is a milestone we’ve been looking forward to for a long time, and we’re proud to be part of this journey.
