Olympic Notos has been converted at Ulstein Verft, preparing her for W2W operations on the Yggdrasil field.
The upgrade includes a specialised motion-compensated gangway and extensive system integration, delivered through close collaboration between Aker BP, Olympic Subsea ASA and Ulstein.
A strong example of how vessels can be adapted for new offshore needs.

Hos Ulstein Verft stoppar ikkje ettermarknadstenestene ved verftet. Då vi ikkje hadde ledig dokk eller kai, mobiliserte vi eit Ulstein-team om bord på Hurtigrutens 'Trollfjord' i Bergen for å gjennomføre nødvendig reparasjonsarbeid.
Arbeidet omfatta mellom anna eksosrør, oppgradering av kjelen, montering av vibrasjonsdemparar og innsveising av avstivarar. Med god planlegging og prefabrikkerte komponentar vart jobben gjennomført på fire intensive dagar.
Dette viser kva vi kan levere når kompetanse, fleksibilitet og tett samarbeid med kunden spelar saman og gir oss nye moglegheiter også utanfor verftsområdet i Ulsteinvik.

Today, we celebrated the naming of Nexans Electra. This highly specialised cable laying vessel stands out for her scale, complexity and capability, and represents a very important project to us.
The naming ceremony was marked by three godmothers, a rare and fitting tribute to this vessel and to the close collaboration behind her.
We are proud to be building this remarkable ship and look forward to seeing Nexans Electra take the next steps on her journey!

Elevane fekk vere med på omvising på verftsområdet, legge ut på oppdagingsferd i bedriftsmuseet og testa kunnskapane sine i ein Kahoot.
Vi håpar besøket ga eit lite innblikk i kva som skjer bak portane våre, og kanskje vekte nysgjerrigheita rundt dei om lag 70 ulike stillingane som finst i Ulstein Group.
Besøket er ein del av samarbeidsplanen mellom Ulstein kommune, skulane og næringslivet, og neste år står Hasund skule for tur!

Orient Adventurer is entering a new phase as a cable-laying vessel, and Ulstein recently completed the inclining test to verify stability in the vessel’s new configuration.

Ulstein was awarded the redesign and engineering contract for the ULSTEIN SX121 vessel, where the inclining test represents one of the key deliverables. The work carried out highlights how deep insight into a vessel’s operational history is essential when transforming complex assets into safe, class‑approved solutions.

Three of our finest are heading to Miami to attend the Seatrade Cruise Global conference next week, from 13 to 16 April.
Their suitcases are packed to the brim with cruise design expertise, ready to share their knowledge and engage in insightful discussions.
