Ever wonder why we measure car engines in Horsepower? You can thank the "original hacker" of mechanical engineering: James Watt. ⚙️🐎

In 1765, Watt took a look at the clunky, energy-wasting steam engines of his day and had a massive "Aha!" moment. He realized that by adding a separate condenser, he could stop the engine from constantly cooling down and reheating.

The result?

3x more efficiency. 📈

The birth of the Industrial Revolution. 🏭

The "Horsepower" unit: He literally calculated how much work a horse could do just to prove to skeptical factory owners that his machine was better!
