SGC executing slope stabilization works through shotcrete application and wire-mesh reinforcement to ensure long-term rock face safety and structural stability at site.

Shotcrete is not merely a surface covering; it functions as an active ground control and stabilization system when properly designed and executed. Its primary role is to control deformation, prevent progressive failure, and preserve the inherent strength of the rock mass.

Once applied, shotcrete forms a continuous, bonded layer over the rock face. This layer:

• Restrains loosening of small blocks and wedges created by joints, bedding planes, or blasting

•Reduces dilation and movement along discontinuities

•Provides confinement that improves the overall stability of the exposed slope

When used in combination with wire mesh and rock bolts, shotcrete becomes part of an integrated support mechanism:

•Rock bolts anchor unstable rock layers into competent strata

•Wire mesh distributes loads and controls cracking

•Shotcrete locks the system together, transferring stresses uniformly across the surface

This composite action is what ensures long-term stability, not just immediate safety.

Underground Desander- Upper Myagdi HEP 37 MW, Myagdi.

A underground desander is one of the most critical structures in any hydropower system it removes sand, silt, and abrasive particles before the water enters the headrace tunnel. Without a properly built desander, turbine efficiency drops, maintenance cost rises, and long-term generation becomes uncertain.

Working on an underground desander is a different level of challenge. Geology is unpredictable, ventilation is limited, and every activity demands careful coordination between drilling, support works, concreting, and safety teams. Only a few projects in Nepal have underground desanders, and only a handful of teams have the capability to execute them.

Despite the critical conditions and tough terrain, our site team continues to push forward with focus, discipline, and precision. Proud of the effort being put in every day to bring this structure to life.
