We are delighted to announce the onboarding of Mr. Manish Kumar S***a to the NESRA Board of Advisors.

A pioneering entrepreneur, innovator, and adventurist, Mr. S***a has led groundbreaking initiatives in telecom, fintech, and digital transformation — from founding HimSat, Nepal’s first rural satellite communication company, to driving PayBill, mConnect, and Trident Business Solutions.

An MIT-trained leader with global collaborations across firms like Worldline India, ACI Worldwide, Rohde & Schwarz, and Syniverse, his vision and expertise will strengthen NESRA’s mission of advancing space innovation and aerospace research in Nepal and beyond.

🌍✨ Onboarding Announcement – Dr. Erik Seedhouse Joins NESRA Board of Advisors ✨🚀

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Erik Seedhouse to the NESRA Board of Advisors!
Dr. Seedhouse is a renowned professor in Spaceflight Operations at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where he teaches subjects ranging from life support systems and the International Space Station to space operations and military space applications.

His expertise extends far beyond the classroom. As an astronaut instructor with the International Institute of Astronautical Sciences, a Hollywood film consultant, a triathlon coach, and the author of over 30 books on crewed spaceflight, Dr. Seedhouse brings an extraordinary blend of academic, practical, and inspirational experience.

An adventurer at heart, he has summited Everest’s South Summit in 2022, along with Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua, Elbrus, Denali, Rainier, and Island Peak—embodying the spirit of exploration both on Earth and beyond.

With his deep knowledge of human spaceflight and passion for exploration, Dr. Seedhouse’s insights will be invaluable in shaping initiatives like the Everest Aerospace Summit 2025 and NESRA’s broader mission to advance Nepal’s role in global space innovation.

🌍✨ We are delighted to welcome Mr. David S. Schuman as an Advisor to the Nepalese Space Research Association (NESRA)! ✨🌍

Mr. Schuman brings with him nearly 35 years of distinguished service at NASA, where he served as lead counsel for some of the world’s most iconic space science missions—including the James Webb Space Telescope, the Hubble Space Telescope, and the Roman Space Telescope. His expertise spans international cooperation, legal and policy frameworks, ethics, and Federal procurement processes in the space sector.

Currently based in Vienna, Austria, he has represented the International Astronomical Union (IAU) and the National Space Society (NSS) at the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), contributing to global dialogues on peaceful space exploration.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Schuman is also an adventurer, having successfully summited Denali in Alaska and trekked the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal.

With his exceptional experience and vision, Mr. Schuman will be an invaluable asset in guiding NESRA’s mission to advance Nepal’s role in the global space ecosystem. 🚀🇳🇵

🚀 ANNOUNCEMENT: A New Chapter in South Asian Space Collaboration Begins! 🌏

We are proud to share that the Nepalese Space Research Association (NESRA) has officially signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Space Industry Association – India (SIA-India) — one of India’s leading not-for-profit industry associations dedicated to advancing the space sector through innovation, policy advocacy, and global partnerships.

Founded with the mission to catalyze India’s commercial space ecosystem, SIA-India has been a driving force in connecting industry, academia, and government stakeholders. Through this partnership, NESRA and SIA-India will join forces to promote regional cooperation, policy harmonization, capacity-building, and space technology innovation between Nepal and India — and beyond.

We are excited for the Everest Aerospace Summit 2025, taking place this November, where both organizations will actively collaborate to shape the future of space in South Asia.
