Behind every small business is a story of courage, persistence, and possibility. 🌱

As part of the Didibahini Incubation, our team visited participants at their places of business to better understand their journeys, challenges, strengths, and aspirations. From tailoring spaces to home-based enterprises and small local shops, these visits gave us a closer look at how participants are applying their learnings in real life.

These field visits are not just about monitoring progress, they are about listening, learning, and identifying how we can better support each entrepreneur.

Grateful to all the participants and families who welcomed us into their spaces and shared their journeys with honesty and hope.

Entrepreneurship grows strongest when support reaches people where they are. 💛

SINDHULI: YOUTH INCUBATION PROGRAM

On March 28, 2026, we convened an in-person session with our youth incubees in Sindhuli, where they actively engaged in building strong foundations for their entrepreneurial journeys.

Participants developed customer personas and mapped user journeys, gaining deeper insights into their target users and real-world contexts. They further translated these learnings into structured business model canvases, shaping their ideas into more actionable and viable ventures.

The session was followed by a reflective dialogue, where participants shared their journeys so far, key learnings, challenges, and their envisioned next steps. This created a powerful space for peer learning, self-awareness, and forward planning.

We continue to witness growth, clarity, and confidence emerging as these young entrepreneurs move from ideas to structured action.

Three days. Dozens of ideas. One powerful step forward. 🌸

The second in the series of Incubation Trainings for the DidiBahini Incubation Program brought together incredible young women ready to turn possibility into action.

DAY 1 set the foundation participants imagined their businesses 5 years into the future, connecting their dreams to a larger purpose. They stepped into confidence, learning how to present themselves. DAY 2 was about participants diving into the essentials: cost and revenue, pricing strategies, understanding their customers, mapping journeys, and identifying real pain points to build meaningful solutions.

By DAY 3, the room was filled with stories, courage, and curiosity. A peer support circle with two inspiring female entrepreneurs reminded everyone that the path is not easy but it is possible. Through honest conversations, questions, and shared experiences, participants learned that persistence matters just as much as ideas.

What made this cohort even more special, parents and guardians showed up for their daughters, standing beside them, listening, and supporting their journeys. This shift gives us real hope for sustained change.

The camp closed with a vibrant Demo Showcase, participants presenting their products, sharing their journeys, and receiving thoughtful feedback.

What started as ideas are now taking shape as real, grounded businesses.

Real feedback > comfortable assumptions.

As part of the Didi Bahini Incubation Program, our Business Lead traveled to Lumbini for 1:1 sessions with participants sitting with them, understanding their context, and giving focused inputs to help move their ideas forward.
We asked questions, listened, and worked through their challenges together; grounded in who their real users are and what their real constraints look like.
The result is a clearer direction and concrete next steps they can actually test.
This is what HCD looks like in practice. You build from reality, not from what you assume reality is.
The incubation is ongoing. More sessions, more learning, more refinement ahead.

What are we not seeing in our cities? is now an interactive platform that begins to reveal those hidden layers.

Explore a city through layered maps, visual data, biodiversity insights, image archives, and lived stories, all coming together to help you see patterns that usually go unnoticed. From climate risks to everyday resilience, it’s a new way of connecting data with reality.

This is still a work in progress; features will evolve, data will deepen, and the platform will keep growing.
