Congratulations Sajan Shrestha for completing Ph.D in Physics from Dean's office, Institute of Science and Technology, T.U.

The title of his Ph.D. work is 'Assimilating Observation for Improved Weather Forecast in Himalayan Complex Terrain of Nepal'. This Viva Voce Examination held today at Central Department of Physics, 332th Ph.D. Viva Voce Examination of IoST, TU and 61st in Central Department of Physics (CDP), TU, decided to award him PhD degree.

His was supervised by Prof. Dr. Ram Prasad Regmi, Chief Scientist at NARERL and Professor at CDP, TU.

𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐭𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬!🌦️📘

Today, incoming third semester MSc Physics students at the Central Department of Physics, Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur, gained fresh insights into the significance and scope of Atmospheric Sciences/Physics in Nepalese as well as in global context.

During a special orientation session, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐚𝐦 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐦𝐢, Chief Scientist at the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐭𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 (𝐍𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐑𝐋), 𝐓𝐔 introduced students to the syllabus of Atmospheric Physics, offered as an elective in the 3rd and 4th semesters of the MSc Physics program.

The session highlighted the growing relevance of atmospheric studies in understanding and addressing environmental challenges in Nepal and beyond. 🌍📊
