Pleased to share the successful completion of a Solar Water Pumping Project across three Community Forests in Gaidahawa Rural Municipality, Rupandehi district.
This project focuses on ensuring sustainable water availability for forest conservation, wildlife support, and pond recharge. The stored water will also play a crucial role in wildfire management, enabling quick response during emergencies.
The system delivers an average output of approximately 37,000 liters per day (based on 4.5 peak sun hours), demonstrating the effectiveness of solar-powered solutions in remote and environmentally sensitive areas.
Grateful to collaborate with National Conservation and Development Centre for their continuous support and commitment toward renewable energy and sustainable development.
Projects like these reinforce the importance of clean energy in strengthening ecosystems and supporting local communities

At 3,500 metres above sea level in Upper Dolpa lies the Ku village, one of Nepal’s most remote settlements, tucked deep within the mountains of Shey Phoksundo National Park. With fewer than 40 households and no road access, Ku remained cut off from many basic services for generations. Until a few years ago, even electricity was a distant dream.

Solar Lifting Drinking and Irrigation Project – Bisdeutar Community, Indrawati RM-11, Sindhupalchok
The Solar Lifting Drinking and Irrigation Project in the Bisdeutar community of Indrawati Rural Municipality Ward 11, Sindhupalchok, was successfully completed in December 2024. Lands were left barren for 5 to 6 months due to inaccessibility to water, and dependence on rainwater has significantly reduced the crops’ yield due to uncertainty.This project has enhanced access to drinking water and irrigation facilities for the local population, contributing to improved livelihoods and resource sustainability. The system was installed by Ohm Energy Nepal with financial support from the International Water Management Institute
