Last Friday saw Lindsay Breen alongside Peter Kean and Roger Clarke (Highlanders leadership) on the couch at Southland Business Chamber talking on the topic, Never Let a Good Crisis Go to Waste. Talking to a room of southland business leaders, the panel agreed uncertainty isn't a time to retreat - it's a time to invest in people, protect quality, repuations and make strategic decisions about what comes next.

Thanks to the Chamber and panel moderator, the exceptional Sheree Carey who always pulls out great insights and gets a panel moving.

We were delighted to host Joseph Mooney MP for Southland at the Dunstan High School basedTradeBase campus yesterday. Joseph and team met the students from the Ministry of Social Development NZ's NEET programme; an initiative that helps youth currently out of education and employment find their feet again. So cool that our TradeBase programme can be a part of their journey.

Friday saw the Prime Minister visit our site in Three Parks, Wānaka, for a Q&A with construction professionals and educators. Our ask was simple: engage with the sector, early and often when making decisions that directly affect our industry. For us this meant thinking about the new health and safety bill, support for immigrant workers and stronger vocational pathways into the trades.

Huge shout out Ross McCulloch, Brad Dixon, Chris O'Connell and team on site for all your prep work. And to Hemi Karamaena and the Southern Lakes ITM too.
