Cemac also helped shape another important part of Te Arai Links — their Conference Room.

Recognising the need for both accommodation and corporate conferencing facilities, Cemac worked in collaboration with JWA Architects to transform two existing suites into a fully equipped, flexible meeting space.

The project involved:
✔️ Stripping out the original structure and adding new support
✔️ A complete fit-out across all trades
✔️ Furniture selections carefully chosen to balance flexibility with Te Arai’s high-quality aesthetic

The result is the Executive Meeting Suite — a professional, adaptable conference facility that supports Te Arai’s growth while aligning with Cemac’s commercial expertise.

This space now provides a welcoming setting for corporate gatherings while maintaining the premium look and feel of the wider Te Arai Links development.

Before the Bunker Bar, Cemac had the privilege of delivering another key project at Te Arai Links — the staff accommodation.

With Te Arai’s remote location, onsite housing was essential to support their growing team. Working alongside Coresteel, who built the shell, Cemac transformed the space into:

✔️ 30 suites with private bathrooms and wardrobe storage
✔️ A central breakout/kitchen area
✔️ A full commercial laundry

The project demanded precise service coordination, fire-rated detailing, and a strict pre-Christmas deadline — all of which were met through strong collaboration and careful planning.

We’re proud this project became the foundation for our continued partnership with Te Arai Links, supporting both the people who make the resort special and the guests who experience it.

Sometimes the most exciting opportunities come when you step outside your usual scope of work.

Recently, Cemac was invited to take on a residential project in Matakana, Auckland — quite different from our typical commercial fitouts. The client’s vision and the project specs inspired us to say yes, and we’re so glad we did.

This project allowed us to:
✔️ Learn new trades
✔️ Build fresh partnerships
✔️ Deliver something truly special for our client

The result? A stunning home that both the client and our team are incredibly proud of. ✨

An older project, but one we’re still very proud of to this day ✨
Cemac had the privilege of project managing the full fitout of Avanti Finance’s head office — from council requirements and construction through to furniture and shelving.

Working alongside their designer and Manson Developments (building owner), this project was all about collaboration and trust, resulting in a workplace that is both professional and welcoming.

Highlights include open-plan work areas, private meeting rooms, breakout spaces, and a vibrant staff hub complete with a pool table 🎱.

A great reminder of what’s possible when every party brings their best to the table.

We’re proud to share the completed work of Cemac Wellington at Kelvin Chambers, a project that ran from June 2023 to February 2025.

The project included:
• Replacing cladding on the upper two floors
• Renovating double-height windows without removing them from site
• Installing a new warm roof and upgraded decks
• Seismic upgrades to the lower six floors using innovative saw-cutting techniques
• Full building painting and replacement of structural timbers affected by water damage

A highlight of this project was our internal hoarding system, which allowed apartments to remain occupied during construction—saving tenants relocation costs while maintaining safety and efficiency.

A big thank you to the team for delivering this complex project with precision and care!

We had the privilege of delivering the new Head Office for Te Matatini, the organisers of the iconic Kapa Haka festivals.

From curved veneer-lined walls and a slatted ceiling feature to a brand-new kitchen with timber flooring, glazed partitions, motorised blinds, and fresh finishes throughout—the result is a warm, functional, and uniquely welcoming workplace.
