We’re thrilled to share that one of our clients was featured in NZ’s first onsite 3D-printed home, a major milestone in New Zealand construction! This innovative four-bedroom concrete home was built layer by layer using onsite 3D printing technology, showcasing faster construction, durability, sustainability and design flexibility that points toward the future of housing.

As the structural engineers behind this project, we provided the engineering design and support to ensure the structure met performance, safety and compliance standards — helping bring this pioneering vision to life. It’s exciting to see modern engineering integrating with next-gen construction methods like this, and we couldn’t be more proud of the outcome. 🏗️✨

Another great project that HD Structures was invited to design and view to construct. It’s the Krispy Kreme New lynn store!, HD has been involved with Krispy Kreme since their entry into New Zealand and we have helped provide interior design as well as their new build construction

This project is special becase the client wanted an easy, quick to assemble build that was fire proof and long lasting. The request was to build the store using precast panels, with quick construction techniques and pattern features that resembled the traditional Krispy Kreme store. Like brick moldings.

As per the client’s Brief, HD delivered. We provided a design that was in line with NZ standards and easy for the contractor to build. No hassle or complicated bits. The project comprised of precast concrete, steel framing and concrete slab floor.

With the housing shortage still at large, HD Structural engineers is proud to be one of the companies that is helping reduce this shortage by providing quality designs at fast, efficient and low prices. Below an example of another multi-unit development that HD Structural engineers completed which is an 6 lot, high spec development that comprises low cost timber framing and ribraft floors.

A project we did in the past. A Retirement village in wattle downs, Auckland. Bupa Acacia cove.

A great project for a great client. Located over poor ground, some sound foundation engineering as well as a light weight timber framed building structure was required to make it all happen. Brought to you by HD 👍
