And we have a new leader in the dirtiest filter competition…
This client moved into their beautiful home 3 years ago and had been cleaning the heatpump grills every 3 months.
Suddenly the system stopped performing and came up with a filter fault… Not knowing what was happening they called the Dr..
What we found in the underfloor unit was a filter that no one knew about and can best be described as choked…
Combined with a supply duct that had fallen apart this unit was doing very little in the way of heating..
With the ducting repaired unit given a full service and the filter given a huge clean and sanitise this system is back to running at peak performance.

Wow… Has it been a year already!!

Thank you to each and every one of my amazing customers!

You guys have made the first year of this adventure fly by. I’ve met so many awesome people and met many of their fur babies while servicing Heatpumps.
Life’s not slowing down and neither am I. Let’s bring on the next year and all it’s fun!

Hi There,

Let me introduce myself my name is Mike Ireland for those that don’t know me.

I’ve taken the next step in my career and decided to start up my own business Dr MiCool, for all your refrigeration and HVAC requirements.

My role as Senior Service Technician is to help you Maintain with regular servicing of your units. Or to solve those unknown problems with the why’s, what’s and how’s?? To hopefully get those units back up and running.

I have many years experience within this industry, having started from the young age of 16. Over the years I’ve had many experiences and achievements from working on aircrafts - super yachts - Navy vessels - cars and also within supermarkets and your favourite cafe or pizza shops.

My passion is if it’s broke I will do my upmost to fix it. Unless it’s really broke and only way to fix is to get new.

At the end of each working week I like to enjoy time with my family and friends. Going for a ride on my bike or going for a drive on the track or just pulling out the fishing rod.

Now you know a little more about me I look forward to hearing from you with your refrigeration or HVAC problems or even if it’s just needing a service.

Most people have no idea just what is actually hiding behind the unit covers

Does your heat pump have "Dirty sock
syndrome"?

Dirty sock syndrome is the combination of slime and mold found on coils also occasionally in the condensate pan and is detectable by the unpleasant odor. When the unit switches from heat to cool, the odor is released.
Regular servicing and cleaning can help prevent and eliminate "dirty sock syndrome" from your heat pump while also making sure your system is operating as efficiently as possible.
