Big news from the AtSource team.
From 1 August 2026, Jared and Sarah are now the owners of AtSource, with Runciman Holdings Ltd T/A AtSource becoming AtSource Limited.

We've also moved into a new home. You'll now find us at 10 Tironui Station Rd West, Takanini, Auckland 2112.
The new site gives us more room to grow our stock, expand our workshop, and keep backing our customers as we grow. Same great team, fresh energy, and plenty in the pipeline.

Thanks for being part of the journey. Here's to what's next.

Jared was walking to grab lunch in our new neighbourhood when he spotted a few guys wrestling with a blocked dust collector hopper. Recognised it as a Nederman unit straight away, so stopped to help. Had one of our service techs onsite within 5 minutes.

No charge for the callout, but we'll be following up with a service care proposal. As NZ's only Nederman Gold partner and OEM parts dealer, it's exactly this kind of thing we're set up for.

15 guys standing around instead of working adds up fast. Your extraction system might run fine 99% of the time, but it still needs the occasional bit of attention before it becomes a bigger problem.

A bit of behind-the-scenes from the AtSource team this week.
Our new warehouse is starting to take shape, with the pallet racking arriving and going in.
A big move for the team, and it's exciting seeing the new space come together.

The hierarchy of controls will be familiar to everyone, from elimination at the top to PPE at the bottom.

Few understand the role of engineered controls, but they sit high on the hierarchy for a reason. They remove or reduce the hazard at the source, rather than relying on individual behaviour.

Take a woodworking workshop. It will always create dust. You cannot eliminate it. But a properly engineered extraction system captures it before it spreads, settles, or becomes a fire risk. Without one, workers are breathing it in, feeling it on their skin, and carrying it home on their clothes.

That is controlling the hazard, not just the individual's exposure.

PPE like masks and respirators still has a place, but it is a last resort. It protects one person at a time and does nothing to remove the hazard from the environment.

In a school tech room, it only takes one student dropping a nail or screw into the ducting to create a spark. And a spark in a duct full of fine wood dust is exactly how a fire or explosion starts.
