Every project can have its challenges, but one of the toughest we face as builders is when significant design changes land late in the game.
By that stage usually the building is up, services are run, finishes are underway — and any tweak can have a snowball effect.
Recently, we had a late client change that needed to marry perfectly into what was already built.
This change meant amending plans, revisiting structural and architectural details, re-coordinating trades, and re-thinking the sequencing — while staying on track for early December handover.
Instead of saying “it’s too late,” our team broke the challenge down step-by-step:
Reassessing the design and mapped out what the change affected — structure, services, cladding and finishing details.
We worked closely with the architect and engineer to re-detail the junctions so everything tied in seamlessly.
We re-sequenced the programme so other trades weren’t standing around and time wasn’t lost, we worked late and weekends and did the mahi to get it done.
The result?
The new design integrated perfectly with the completed work.
Delivering a clean, cohesive finish that looks like it was always part of the original design — on time, and to the high quality standard we’re known for.
Challenges aren’t roadblocks.
They’re opportunities to show our clients exactly why choosing the right builder matters.
If you want a team who can adapt, solve, and deliver a beautiful project.
