Once the demolishing was done, it was time for the extensions, floor and level 1 frames to go up. To help with the overall cost, we were able to use the well-built slab and garage level and extend out and go up again from there. This saved the client a considerable amount and sped up the build process. It's a cost-effective and efficient process using HomeDesign Company and our trusted builders from DownRight Construction LTD.

When it came time to remove this leaky home we left it to the skilled team at Levela Deconstruction LTD. Rather than just dump it all in a landfill Levela are able to salvage, repurpose and recycle! This ticked all the clients and HomeDesign Company's sustainable boxes.

A 30-year-old house that never had CCC. Let's see what we can do with it! We are keeping the original garage block and main level midfloor, extending that level and going up from there. Before Christmas, these clients will be in their new modern home and CCC will be on its way!

Our new home design team has designed a large home (330 sqm) for a retired couple Wayne and Noeline, who split their time between New Zealand and Australia. An easy-care, lockup-and-leave home was front of mind for this project.

When approaching the design of this home in Auckland’s premier new subdivision, we had an advantage as the builds on either side were already well underway. This allowed us to see exactly what was happening next door, which influenced our own design decisions. Built to complement what’s being constructed on neighbouring properties, we have been able to optimise positions for living rooms and bedrooms, window size and placements, as well as outdoor living areas.

While the entire building sector in New Zealand grapples with supply shortages, our team forges ahead in areas that would traditionally come later. We’re working on tiling, landscaping, decking and kitchen installation tasks out of sequence to ensure any construction delays are kept to an absolute minimum.

Gulf Harbour Update: The windows are in place. The ducting and wiring have been strung throughout the house, ready for its next phase. Insulation is currently being installed. Next week, the focus will shift to the gib board going up inside, while the cladding will also get underway.

When looking around at their options for a new build, Dawn and Martin were very conscious of actually getting what they wanted, and not what a developer thought they wanted. As part of their due diligence, they approached and then quickly dismissed a group home builder: the company couldn’t get one of their templated homes to fit the section quite right.
