ABOUT US:
Richmann Engineering has recently gone through some management changes and are rebuilding our team to keep up with demand.
We are food processing machinery engineers who build, maintain and service most types of food processing equipment to the highest of standards. We manufacture custom made machinery and manufacture our own brand of food processing machinery. We provide restaurants, butchers, food processing plants, caterers, bakers, and suppliers of consumables with the most innovatively designed machinery on the New Zealand market and have forged long lasting commercial partnerships along the way. As a fully equipped machine shop we manufacture, supply and install sealers, vacuum packers, food grade conveyors, mincers plus more and provide ongoing maintenance support, onsite repairs, electrical upgrades and rebuilds. We have also recently acquired a waterjet cutter, break press and laser welder to aid us with quick manufacturing of parts and equipment.
ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for someone with the following attributes:
*Able to work unsupervised within a small but well-skilled team
*Can spot and remedy issues before they become problems
*Reliable and accurate feedback to management
*Communicate well at all levels of the business
*Follows safe working practices
*Strong organizational skills which complement the need to manage a variety of priorities and standards
*Hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate (level 4) or equivalent qualification
*You must be physically fit with the ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol test
The standard work hours will be 40 hours per week. Start and finish times will be determined based upon operational needs and may change
*Pay rate will be discussed and will be based on your experience
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
*At least 3 years’ experience as a Fitter, Fitter – Turner, Fitter - welder, or Fitter/Machinist or similar
*Experience in machining, welding, diagnostics, hydraulics and pneumatics would also be an advantage
*Experience and good understanding of mechanical systems including drives systems, transmission systems and bearings
*A basic understanding of PLC operated equipment would be an advantage, as there is a high level of automation of the production machinery site
*Previous experience in maintaining machines and equipment (Food Processing Industry)
