Concrete and steel locked in 🔒🦾

We’ve just completed the concrete pour for one of the block retaining walls on our 9-townhouse development in New Lynn. After passing geotech, structural, and council inspections, we poured 30MPa concrete into tied steel footings. 💪

This is just a small section of the retaining work on-site — the rest is a full timber system getting underway next.

We’re currently deep into a full renovation of this classic 60s bungalow to get it ready for the rental market — with a full focus on compliance, comfort, and long-term durability.

✅ Re-roof completed – new purlins and all
✅ New GIB linings throughout
✅ Full insulation upgrade – ceiling, wall, and underfloor
✅ Deck rebuilt and upgraded
✅ All the Healthy Homes compliance boxes ticked behind the walls ✅

Now we’re into the finishing stages — with interior painting underway and a brand new kitchen and bathroom install just around the corner.

Kicking off groundwork in Waipū.

We’ve started civil works on this site—cut, fill, and prep underway. Originally designed for 6.5m concrete piles, but after a failed test bore due to collapsing ground conditions, we had to call in the geotech and engineer for a redesign.

The updated plan now calls for driven timber piles—an amendment that’ll give us better stability in this coastal ground.

Taking over this townhouse development from the previous builder, meant uncovering a few surprises left behind, but with a methodical approach and attention to detail by and the team, we worked through every challenge.
