How Artbuild Started
House construction has always been part of my life. I grew up watching my father building houses and early on declared my ambition to become a builder. At the age of 15, I joined the family construction business as an intern and never looked back.I learned this craft from old-school builders who knew how to do things precisely and perfectly. Now I combine this craftsman knowledge with modern techniques, so that I can offer Artbuild customers the best of both worlds.
From my hometown of Donji Milanovac in the former Yugoslavia, I took my career to Vicenza in Italy and then to New Zealand. Iโve always respected the beauty of historic buildings, but just as readily embrace the comforts and advancements that come with contemporary architecture. With my wife Nena, I established Artbuild Master Builders in 2015 after four years working as a registered builder in Auckland โ two years with other building companies and two years as a sole trader. Right from the start, we were determined to go the extra mile for customers and put some โgood newsโ stories into a market that has been plagued with bad building experiences. In my own time, I love building and modifying cars. To celebrate our sunny new life in New Zealand, I built a beach buggy.
