A year in the planning. Built for Mangawhai living.
When Roy decided to relocate to Mangawhai and build his dream home, the outdoor space was part of the plan from day one.
We worked alongside him for close to a year to design a louvre roof that feels like a natural extension of the house, not an afterthought.
The result is an integrated SunPivot louvre roof that sits between the two wings of the home and ties straight into the roofline. It adds 18m² of living space that works all year round. On a still summer afternoon the louvres open to the sun, and when the weather turns they close tight. The space stays usable either way.
Here's why more homeowners are designing a louvre roof into their new build or renovation:
→ More square metres for less. A louvre roof adds covered living space at a fraction of the per-square-metre cost of a traditional build.
→ A space that adapts. Open, angled or closed. You control the sun, airflow and shelter.
→ Fully enclose. Add Glaslide-frameless glass doors, blinds and heating and it becomes a true outdoor room.
If you're planning a new build or renovation, now is the time to design it in.
Thanks for having us on the journey, Roy. Enjoy the new place.
