Primarily used in the CNC machining environment for Subtractive Rapid Prototyping, tooling boards are playing a vital part in the marine, aerospace, prototyping and foundry industries. We source products from Europe and the USA, stocking sheets in 50, 75 & 100mm thicknesses. We now offer an inhouse 3D print service. Characteristics and Applications. Tooling boards are consistent with no voids, uni
form density and predictable processing characteristics. Small cell-sizes give excellent finished surface results straight from the tool. With the demands of tighter tolerances and reliable dimensional stability, tooling boards out-perform traditional materials. Faster CNC machine spindle speeds and material feed-rates are possible. Tooling boards are closed-cell making them virtually insensitive to humidity changes, with predictable thermal expansion characteristics. Most polyurethane boards are temperature resistant to 60°C. Our Epoxy boards can be used for pre-preg carbon fibre production that can be processed repeatedly at 125°C, with very low thermal expansion, and good resistance to chemicals. Contact us for advice regarding the best product for your needs. Our Directors used their previous experiences with this high grade material in the composites industry to promote its use in New Zealand. We sell Tooling board for a variety of uses ranging from jigs and fixtures on CNC mills & lathes, through to a thermally stable medium for moulds and patterns. Kiwi Tooling provides Epoxy Tooling Board in various sizes from 50mm to 100mm . We are based in Auckland and offer practical advice on how Epoxy Tooling Board can aid production efficiency.
