The University of Otago’s new Wai-ora Building brings specialist laboratories, research facilities and learning spaces together within one of the University’s most ambitious developments.

Working alongside Warren and Mahoney, Potters Interior Systems supplied an integrated internal glazing solution designed to support the project’s vision of “science on display”.

C Series aluminium partitions, E Series twin glazing and DS Series aluminium doors were used throughout the building to balance visual connectivity with demanding acoustic, hygiene and seismic performance requirements.

The result is a series of open, connected spaces that allow research and learning to be seen, while maintaining the separation and performance each environment requires.

May Road School’s new three-storey learning block shows how thoughtful acoustic design can support open, flexible education environments.

Potter Interior Systems supplied an integrated range of ceiling and wall solutions, including AMF Thermatex Alpha HD30+ mineral fibre tiles, Heradesign wood wool panels and AMF Thermatex Thermofon tiles. Together, these products help control reverberation, improve speech clarity and define learning zones without relying on traditional walls.

Designed by Jasmax Architects and built by Stryde Projects, the redevelopment provides 15 new classrooms while supporting collaboration, inclusivity and a calm learning environment for students and teachers.

A striking welcome, shaped with Nacci.

We’re pleased to be featured by EBOSS for the bespoke curved timber feature wall created for Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington’s School of Health.

Using Nacci Clip-In Timber Battens, the design creates an eye-catching entrance while helping support acoustic comfort in a busy teaching environment. Curved tracks, concealed brackets and precisely spaced American White Ash battens allowed the feature to flow seamlessly around corners, delivering warmth, visual impact and practical performance. Potter Interior Systems also supplied aluminium partition systems for the wider fitout.

When ceiling tiles did not align neatly with the grid dimensions, the team at Ace Interiors took a hands-on approach, carefully measuring and cutting each tile to achieve a consistent, professional result.

A heavy-duty suspension grid and additional hangers were used to support the weight of AMF HERADESIGN® Fine panels and Fine Fissure ceiling tiles, combining reliable performance with a clean, considered finish.

Products supplied included DONN® DX ceiling grid components, wall angles, AMF HERADESIGN® Fine panels and Fine Fissure tiles.
