An architectural renovation designed for family living.
Oliver Street was a full renovation for a young family ready to modernise their home, wanting more space, more storage, and more light throughout.
Downstairs, walls were opened to improve the connection between kitchen and dining, upstairs, the master suite was completely reworked to include a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite, offering privacy and breathing room away from the busy spaces below.
But projects like this are never just about reconfiguring rooms.
They’re about navigating people, complexity, and change.
With tight site access, an out-of-town architect, and the realities of renovating while raising a young family, the success of this build relied on collaboration, judgement, and clear communication.
For us, the most rewarding part of the project came at the very end, “Seeing the client walk in and be so stoked with what we’d created, that’s always the standout,” Mike Smith.
