Another working year comes to an end. We have checked out as of yesterday, we had a half day and headed for the big smoke. Thank you to all our staff for a great year, we look forward to getting back onboard on the 10th January, stay safe out there! Season’s Greetings to all.

Bit of a tricky one this morning, a soak hole in a raised garden bed that wasn’t performing so we got the hiab in to lift us in and sort it out.

Onsite at 5.30 and finished by 9am to minimise disruption to the nearby cafe.

We love the challenging jobs so don’t be scared to throw them at us.

Due to NZ being at COVID-19 alert level 3 and moving to level 4 shortly, Intorock Drilling will be closed from Tuesday 24th March for at least 4 weeks, and until such time as the alert level is lowered. Job Opportunity

Trainee/Experienced Driller

We are currently looking for a trainee or experienced Rock Driller to join our company based in Drury, Auckland
Our main core of business is construction rock drilling.
This is a great opportunity to work for a well-established company that will provide you with ongoing training/licencing.
Drilling, Civil Construction or a Mechanical back ground would be beneficial.
To be successful, you will need:
• Have good physical health
• Enjoy working outdoors
• Mechanically minded
• Work well with others and be able to work unsupervised
• Demonstrate good communication skills, both verbally and written
• Good at following instructions and able to read site plans
• Prepared to partake in training courses
• A full class 1 licence is required, other class licences are a plus
• Must be able to pass a pre employment Police check, Drug & Alcohol test prior to starting
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Preparation of equipment prior to leaving yard
• Establishment of rig and equipment on site
• Site management, identifying risks and hazards
• Liaising with geotech engineers and architects
• Measuring out sites for exact locations of bores
• Logging drilling results
• Washing down of equipment regularly
• Ensuring drill rigs are oiled and greased and working efficiently
• Organising pvc pipe, caps, hydrant equipment for following day
• Reporting of incidents and accidents
• Completing paper work to a high standard
• Working with all staff to ensure job is carried out correctly
• Keeping work shop tidy and assisting with clean ups
