Role description:

Monitoring the progress of a project and keeping it on track from a time and budget standpoint.
Assign workers to the correct projects based on their skill set and knowledge. This is a supervisor position in the civil sector.

Responsibilities:

Provide onsite training as required.
Run toolbox and pre-start meetings.
Organise materials for job sites.
Complete internal audits as required.
Read and work off plans.

Applicants must have:

At least 3 years experience as a Foreman working with concrete in civil construction including concrete repairs and waterproofing.
Seismic strengthening experience will be a great advantage.
Knowledge and practical experience of crack injection application.
Skills to undertake epoxy screeds.
Solid plastering ability to a high standard.
Possess carpentry skills.
Knowledge of health and safety standards within New Zealand.
Reinforcing bar bending experience is an advantage.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
NZ full driver's licence and ability to drive a manual vehicle.
Applicants for this position should be NZ Citizens, NZ Residents or hold valid NZ Work Visa.

Concrete Scanning Technician: Non-destructive testing (NDT)

We require the services of a Concrete Scanning Technician (A Non-destructive testing and Analysis Technician) for testing of Buildings and Infrastructure ie. Bridges and Wharves, on site and primarily in the Auckland region.

This position would suit an engineer with civil/structural engineering experience, who has a Job/Contract Management background in the civil/construction engineering industries and with a love of new technologies.

The position necessitates the applicant:

1. to have the ability to learn to use Ferroscan Scanners and Ground Penetrating Radar Scanners, Ultrasonic Equipment and Pile Integrity Testing Equipment to assess the reinforcing elements of existing concrete structures.

2. to be part of an innovative team developing new technologies in the Non Destructive Testing arena.

3. to possibly head up our newly developed NDT department at our West Auckland Head Office; which could involve liaising with clients, organising specific jobs and overseeing work.

Applicants must have:

• a sound knowledge of Civil/Structural engineering principles, particularly steel reinforced concrete structures.
• an ability to use the scanners and other technologies
• an ability to learn new technologies and to use scan analysis software
• be able to write clear and concise reports
• have a basic knowledge of photographic software
• have ample CAD experience

Work hours will need to follow workflow but this could be moderated to suit the successful applicant. The position would be largely based in West Auckland however travel to other regions may be required from time to time. Full training will be provided on all scanners, equipment and technologies.

Employment conditions and remuneration are negotiable.
Applicants for this position should be NZ Citizens, NZ Residents or hold valid NZ Work Visa.
