Through our Community Support programme, we had the incredible opportunity to help out I AM HOPE with a couple of things they needed doing at their head office.

It's no secret that I Am Hope work tirelessly to support our young people and promote positive change around mental health and we were stoked to be able to do our little bit to help out by trimming back some trees in the carpark and waterproofing their storage room.

Happy new year!!
We hope everyone had a safe and relaxing break 😎

Check out these awesome drone shots from February to December 2024 showing the incredible work our guys from both BSG & BSG Civil have done to assist KiwiRail with the new switchyard and access road construction at Western Power Feeder.
The guys have spent a tremendous amount of time onsite clearing the site, installing stormwater drainage, preparing pavements, excavating trenches for utilities, and constructing switchgear building slabs and foundations.
Absolutely cannot wait to see the finished product! 🤩

I stole a minute of site supervisor, Mathew's time to ask a few questions.
1. What is the project you are working on?
"we are working on the Mayfair Retirement Village apartment redevelopment and community centre building upgrade."
2. What do you enjoy about the project?
"the enjoyment of this site is that we have a variety of work and we have opportunity to have our input in the problem solving area."
3. What do you enjoy about BSG?
"I personally enjoy the family atmosphere that comes with working with BSG."
4. What is the best part about your team?
"the laughter and how everyone pulls together to get the required tasks completed on time."

Our office team, as well as a couple of teams on gumboot safe sites, are proudly donning their gumboots in support of of Gumboot Friday today!
Since 2019, Gumboot Friday has provided more than 100,000 therapy sessions to young kiwis ages 5-25. We are showing our support to such a crucial and life saving cause to keep the conversation going.

We would also like to take this opportunity to recognise November being Men's Mental Health Awareness Month.
Mental health is a difficult thing to talk about, particularly in the male dominated construction and earthworks industries. As a company, we are continuously taking steps to make mental health less taboo and easier to talk about, so that our team don't feel isolated if and when they face mental health challenges. A more recent step we took was partnering with ; providing our entire team with access to the resources they need to be able to take charge of their mental health & wellbeing. Clearhead provides confidential support with access to therapy if needed, along with many resources ranging from mental health support, to addiction support, and financial support.
