About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator with a strong focus on high-quality stainless-steel work. This role suits someone who values precision, takes pride in workmanship, and consistently delivers clean, high-end finishes.

Key Responsibilities
• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components to specification
• Perform high-quality stainless-steel welding (TIG)
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Maintain strict quality standards and attention to detail
• Ensure safe and efficient workshop practices
Requirements
• Based in or willing to relocate to Blenheim, Marlborough
• Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication and stainless-steel welding
• Strong workmanship and eye for detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and quality-focused

Great to get a proper look behind the scenes at Port Marlborough.

It might look like a scenic spot, but it is actually one of New Zealand’s busiest ports, keeping Marlborough connected through ferries, freight, aquaculture, and more.

Awesome to hear from the team and see the operations up close, including the work underway on the Waitohi Ferry Redevelopment Project.

Big thanks to Port Marlborough for the insight and to the Marlborough Chamber of Commerce for organising such a great event.

We fully support the ongoing investment in the port, it is vital for the region’s future.

Big news from Onefab…

We are officially moving away from stainless steel and focusing entirely on handcrafted wooden fabrication from next week.

Laser cutter is being replaced with a chisel.
Welding helmets swapped for carving tools.
And yes, timber pipework solutions are now available on request.
