We have recently dispatched 2 × Isuzu 4BG1 lateral irrigation pump setups to one of our customers in Timaru.

Each unit is fitted with a over centre clutch, allowing the pump to be engaged and disengaged as required. A 400v alternator (not pictured) is driven off the front pulley.

This setup gives the customer the flexibility to move the lateral during winter without operating the pump, improving efficiency and reducing unnecessary wear.

The pump was supplied by the customer, who already runs Isuzu engines across the rest of his fleet, so maintaining engine uniformity was an important part of this project.
