Planning a renovation? 🏠

One thing I often recommend is getting your builder involved before your plans are completely finished.

Having a builder look over things early can help make sure what’s being designed is practical to build, works with your budget, and can sometimes identify opportunities to save money before everything is locked in.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before talking to a builder. An early conversation can save changes, delays and extra costs further down the track.

This is very much just the tip of the iceberg of the renovation we're working on at the moment.

What started as a couple of spongy and uneven floors quickly turned into something much bigger. After a bit of investigating, we discovered borer had taken hold and caused significant damage to the floor framing.

With a bit of finesse (and a lot of hard work), the team at White Oak Construction removed the damaged timber, repaired and strengthened the floor framing, installed new insulation, and laid a brand-new plywood floor—leaving it stronger, warmer, and ready for the next stage of the renovation.

Are you thinking about replacing your carpet or flooring? Do your floors feel spongy, uneven, or squeaky underfoot? It's always worth investigating before laying new floor coverings. The last thing you want is to spend thousands on new flooring only to discover there's a problem hiding underneath.
