Located in the heart of Yaldhurst, Christchurch, this purpose-built 2,300m² storage facility was developed for a valued repeat client and delivers approximately 55 new auto storage units.

The facility was designed to maximise the site's footprint while providing a practical storage solution that will serve customers for years to come. Situated alongside the Action Watersports facility we previously completed for our client, the two buildings complement each other well and make efficient use of the site.

Having partnered with our client on both projects, it's rewarding to see their portfolio continue to grow

At Tuatara Structures we know the best work happens when the team is informed, aligned, and pulling in the same direction.

Today we held our quarterly team training and planning day. This year our strategy is ‘Race to the Sky’, inspired by the Empire State Building. Built in just 410 days, the Empire State Building is a standout example of teamwork. Thousands of people working towards one goal, clear responsibilities, and a shared standard, which is what made the build possible in that timeframe.

We brought that same approach into our planning, breaking the year into four quarters with clear priorities and initiatives in each, so we are clear on what we are delivering and how we will get there. We finished up the day with some fun team-building exercises over at Serve Social Clubhouse to round out the day.

Here at Tuatara Structures, health and safety policies aren't just a priority, they are woven into our culture to keep everyone safe both on and off-site. We believe that raising this awareness around potential risks will mean our operations will run healthier and more efficiently.

To ensure we keep everyone safe, our team is focused on risk management and problem-solving to ensure our project, our contractors, and our team are always safe. All of our sites, contractors, and staff are well-educated on identifying and eliminating potential risks and hazards to ensure the safety of everyone involved in our projects. Making sure we keep up to date and prioritize our health and safety promotes better wellbeing within our business and across all sites.

At Tuatara Structures the most rewarding part of our work is handing over a solution that reflects our clients vision and supports the way they work.

Today we are proud to share a recently completed project carried out for Mt Erin New Zealand. The project delivers over 2,540m² of cool storage, staging, and outward goods space to support their operation and the wider industry.

Mt Erin is a Hawke’s Bay collective of family-owned orchards working together to deliver quality apples to more than 70 countries worldwide. Their focus is on getting fruit from the orchard to market in peak condition, with this new facility playing an important role in supporting that process.

With the facility needing to be operational in time for the 2026 apple harvest, delivering on schedule was critical. Earlier this year, we were proud to deliver the project in time for the season ahead. It was a pleasure partnering with Andrew Mason, Vanessa Kelly, and the wider Mt Erin team to bring this project to life.

She’ll help keep things organised behind the scenes and support the day-to-day admin that keeps projects moving. She will also assist with project setup, health and safety records, reporting, handover information, and close-out documents.

It’s a role that helps keep projects organised and on track, so our teams can stay focused on delivery. She brings a proactive approach and strong attention to detail to the role. Outside of work, you will find Ale enjoying time with her family.
