Did you know that every time you have a go at making something crafty, you are using maths? Whether you are making models with Lego, knitting a Christmas jumper, or folding up an origami owl, you can enjoy being creative and be a maths whiz at the same time!

Maths Craft New Zealand is a Christchurch based group which promotes learning about mathematics through craft. They make resources for teachers and schools, and run events and workshops to help people discover the fun, creativity, and beauty in mathematics through the medium of craft.

The team from Maths Craft New Zealand will be showcasing some cool crafty activities for families to try at the grand opening of Bricks of Olympus on 15 Jan in the Great Hall. Bring your family and friends along and challenge yourselves to have a go!
