These behind-the-scenes shots capture our team using CAD and virtual reality technology to visualise the Lamason-Buchenwald Memorial before it takes shape in steel.

The memorial is planned for Dannevirke, Phil Lamason's hometown, honouring a remarkable story of courage, leadership, and resilience during WWII.

Recently, we hosted afternoon tea with Mayor Scott to meet new apprentice candidates and catch up with our current five apprentices, who have now completed their first year of training with us.
‎
Apprenticeships like this help grow local skills, create career pathways for young people entering the industry, and support the future of New Zealand manufacturing. We’re proud to be part of the Mayor’s Taskforce for Jobs programme 🤝

Last weekend the Metalform Social Club headed to Whanganui for a trip on the last operating coal-powered paddle steamer in New Zealand – the PS Waimarie.
‎
☀️ We really enjoyed the trip, the sunny weather, and the good chats.
💡We also learned a cool fact that made us proud of the region where we work:
‎
The boiler for the boat was built here in Dannevirke in 1998 by Eaststeel as a replica to replace the worn-out original one.
‎
Pretty cool to see engineering work from our region still helping keep a historic paddle steamer running today!
