Huge thanks to the team at the Whangarei District Council for supporting this awesome local club with a grant for their new trailer.

We’re currently working on the trailer here at Compass Trailers in Dargaville, and we’re excited to see it put to great use storing and transporting their agility gear. It’s always great to be part of projects that help make things easier for volunteers and support our local community.

Looking forward to seeing the finished setup in action! Whangarei Dog Training Association

A massive thank you to the Whangarei District Council who have given us a generous grant towards purchasing a brand new trailer to store and move our agility gear. This is going to reduce the physical demand on our team of volunteers, and make it easier for our club to service the community!

The trailer from Compass Trailers in Dargaville is currently being finished for us, and once we have it we have plans to modify it to be able to hold a full set of agility gear.

Exciting times ahead! And we can thank the WDC for helping to make this happen for us!

Planning a road trip this summer while hauling a load? 🚙 Make sure your trailer is safe and road ready with this quick safety checklist:

➡️ Hitch and Coupling: Before driving away, make sure the trailer is securely attached to your vehicle and a coupler lock is in place.

➡️ Brakes and Lights: Double-check that all lights and brake systems are functioning properly.

➡️ Load Balance: Ensure the weight on the trailer is evenly distributed and either covered or tied and secured tightly to prevent any shifting.

➡️Tyres - make sure they are at proper pressure/inflation and have acceptable tread for safety.

➡️Remember the limit is 90km per hour when you're towing a trailer. Be a good Kiwi and pull over for others.
