Proud to support this local community
Meet Vinnie and Josh, a father-son duo of electricians who run Volt Tech Electrical Contracting. They’ve supported us from way back to our food caravan days, and now they feel like part of our Bowling Club family. 🔹
It feels like Vinnie & Josh have saved the day many times around here. They’ve commissioned our machinery, upgraded our electricity, and they constantly fix our broken appliances. 🔸
A couple of weeks ago, Vinnie popped in for kai after finishing a job, and he decided to pay for the women’s kai behind him in the queue too. “He made my day!” the woman said after he left. 🔹
Today, Liam and I were at Orokonui Ecosanctuary - Te Korowai o Mihiwaka and someone came up to us to say that she & her whānau used to receive frozen kai parcels when they were going through a hard time. “We found our feet again,” she said, “but it was so nice to know we had a kind of safety net thanks to you.” We’ve never had someone say something like that to us in person, and it was really moving. 🔸
She reminded us of the importance of our mahi, and we can only do this mahi thanks to our community and to all of you who support us…. Like Vinnie and Josh, who give us discounts and are steady supporters of our business to keep going & growing. Thank you. 💙
We’d like to shout out a few other small, local businesses who support us too! Black Thistle Construction, Gallery De Novo, MortgageMe, Noisy Brewing Co., HYDRO surf shop, United Machinists. Thank you for all your care, and thank you for being here! 🧡
See you all around for kai tomorrow! We’ve got BUTTERCUP SQUASH SOUP (!) with fresh bread for lunch (12-2pm), and loaded fries for dinner (4-7:45pm). ☮️🧡🥣
