Congratulations again to Dean Cave from McIntyre Construction Ltd who reigned supreme over nine other elite operators at the Civil Contractors NZ - Manawatu-Whanganui Branch CablePrice Regional Excavator Operator Competition, held at the National Driver Training Centre on Kawakawa Road.

Cave said it was “a pretty cool thing” to have won the regional round of the competition, having failed to place in his first attempt a decade ago when he was a lot less experienced.

Big congratulations to Dean Cave, our Construction site supervisor. Dean competed in the Manawatu round of the Civil Contractors NZ excavator operator competition on the weekend and took the win, he is now representing the Manawatu Region at the Central Districts Feildays next week to compete for the National excavator operator title, we are super proud of his efforts and invite all our customers, suppliers and everyone else to come down to the CCNZ tent, and cheer him on Friday and Saturday the 20th and 21st of March and have a catch up at the tent.

Well after many years of it being all about Caterpillar, we have just added our first Volvo digger to the fleet, fully margaurded cab, high and wide long track frame, purpose built for forestry roading, and after a week or so in it, we are very impressed, this adds to our 2 Volvo A35 dump trucks, and a Volvo 8 wheeler water truck.
