A look at our latest work at Chelsea Hospital.

These photos were taken last month as the upgraded recovery suite was being prepared for handover. The space is now fully operational and supporting the hospital’s clinical teams and patients.

A lot happens between the first day on site and the finished result. This project is a strong example of the planning, coordination and care that go into delivering construction work in a live healthcare environment.

Thank you to everyone involved in bringing the project together, including our project team, consultants, subcontractors, and the team at Chelsea Hospital.

Rongopai Marae’s upgraded acommercial kitchen is nearly ready to go 🔥🥘👩🏽‍🍳

New stainless-steel work areas, extraction systems and equipment are in, and the team from SRA Painting and Decorating are giving the space a fresh new coat of paint.

We are now wrapping up the final details ahead of handover.

We’re currently working on an internal refresh of Rooms 5 and 6 at Makauri School, helping transform two existing classrooms into more modern and inviting learning spaces.

The rooms previously had dark acoustic wall linings and blackboards, which made the spaces feel heavy and enclosed. This refresh will bring in a much lighter feel, creating fresh, open spaces that are better suited to learning.

We’re pleased to be working with Makauri School, Architects 44 and a great team of subcontractors to bring this project together.

We've received a Long Service Award from the Registered Master Builders Association, recognising 66 years of continuous membership!

We first joined the association in Christchurch in 1960. When DStevens relocated to Gisborne in 1966, our membership transferred to the East Coast association, where we remain an active member today.

Managing Director Peter Stevens accepted the award on behalf of DStevens. Peter was also acknowledged for his 27 years on the Gisborne Master Builders Executive Committee, including his time as Vice President from 2015 to 2017.

Thank you to Registered Master Builders and our fellow local members for this recognition. We are very proud to belong to the association and to continue playing a part in Tairāwhiti’s construction industry.
