Happy New Year, Waikato! The Geeves Scaffolding Waikato team is officially back on-site and ready to kick off a massive 2026.

In the heart of the Museum, the work continues! 🏗️

This is the current view from inside, where we've installed an engineered birdcage scaffold to give the teams safe access to the ceiling and upper walls.

The engineering challenge here is immense: we're using a monorail lifting beam, specifically designed and suspended from the birdcage scaffold, to safely lift the CLT panels (Cross-Laminated Timber). These panels are absolutely critical for bracing and reinforcing the existing museum walls.

This ingenious solution ensures precise placement while utilizing the temporary structure's integrity—a massive feat of coordination and design! A huge effort from the team to manage this scale and complexity.

Exciting progress happening at Morrinsville College! 🏗️

The team is hard at work re-roofing our Performing Arts Centre now that the scaffolding and shrinkwrap are all set up, protecting the building and ensuring work can continue, whatever the weather throws at us!

Working with builders on a project like this, especially within the education sector, requires careful coordination to minimise disruption to our students and staff. We appreciate the professionalism and planning involved by the Head Contractors to keep our schools safe and functional during construction.

An engineering marvel! 🤩 Stage three of the Rotorua Museum scaffold is officially complete and ready for the Keder Roof trusses! This massive temporary structure is what protects our Category 1 heritage building while the seismic strengthening and new roof system are installed underneath. Huge shout-out to the teams for this huge milestone. The progress is truly amazing!
