Exciting News!

We've achieved another major milestone in New Zealand's cannabis industry.

Following our June export of cannabis flower to Australia, we've now exported our first-ever GMP API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) shipment to Australia.

This historic achievement underscores the surging global demand for top-quality pharmaceutical ingredients and sets a new industry standard. It's a proud moment as this marks New Zealand's first-ever export of high-purity cannabis-based API, manufactured to GMP standards and verified by the Medicinal Cannabis Agency.

Our New Zealand-manufactured API differs from our dried flower exports. Currently, exported flower serves as a starting material that requires additional processing steps abroad. In contrast, a GMP-certified API can be immediately used as a key ingredient in medicinal cannabis products

Very encouraging news for patients, and the New Zealand medicinal cannabis industry.
Regulatory changes will pave the way for more affordable prescriptions, allowing patients to access the relief they need without breaking the bank.
These changes will also fuel the growth of the local industry by enabling broader product offerings and streamlined export regulations.
This means more options for patients and a stronger, internationally competitive medicinal cannabis sector in New Zealand.

However, despite medicinal cannabis being unlikely to aid performance, athletes are facing lengthy bans for using this natural remedy, which is a prescription-only medicine in NZ.

Drug Free Sport NZ admits there's nothing performance-enhancing with the drug but players are still getting banned for using it.
