It was a privilege to welcome His Excellency Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, and the accompanying delegation to our event at Ardmore last week.

One of the key moments was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between NZAero and Top Flying Company Limited, marking the next stage of our long-standing aviation relationship with Thailand.

The delegation also had an opportunity to see NZAero’s aircraft and learn more about the wider manufacturing capability—and the people—behind them.

Thank you to NZTE, Top Flying, NZ Warbirds, Ardmore Airport, the participating government agencies and everyone who helped make the visit possible.

We’re pleased to welcome Richard Andrews to NZAero as Chief Designer.

With more than three decades of aircraft design and certification experience, Richard brings valuable knowledge across NZAero aircraft including the 750XL, E-350, Cresco and CT-4.

His appointment strengthens the capability behind the aircraft we design, manufacture and support from our Hamilton facility.

An honour for NZAero to attend last weeks's celebration marking the 70th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between New Zealand and Thailand at the Beehive in Wellington.

It was a special evening recognising the long-standing relationship between both countries, with a strong showcase of culture, community, and collaboration.

It’s been a busy few months for the NZAero team — both here in New Zealand and offshore.

From attending NZDIA’s Uncrewed Systems Day, to representing alongside other Kiwi businesses at the Singapore Airshow, and reconnecting with the aviation community at Warbirds Over Wanaka, each event offered valuable perspective on where the industry is heading.

We’ve also welcomed Tony to the team this year, bringing more than 15 years of aviation experience across sales, logistics and marketing.

And closer to home, the Catalina restoration project continues — a true labour of love that reflects the passion behind aviation.
