Terrace View Rise – a stunning family holiday home in Hokitika, proudly built by Simpson Residential. 🏡

Although this home was completed a few years ago, we recently had the chance to revisit and capture some fresh footage for our website portfolio, thanks to the talent of RC Photography

Designed by CA Architecture and built using Formance SIPs panels, this home was designed for year-round comfort—while still delivering a clean, modern aesthetic.

A big thank you to our fantastic clients for welcoming us back and allowing us to showcase their home once again, now looking even sharper with its beautiful, established landscaping!

Before & After: Brick Painting Transformation

When building a brick home and a separate garage last year, we ran out of bricks partway through the garage. More bricks were ordered, but unfortunately, the new batch varied quite a bit in colour. Even after staggering them throughout the wall, it created a patchwork effect. Never fear — painting the bricks gave a seamless, uniform finish, and you can barely tell the difference between the batches!

This approach is also a great solution when extending an existing brick home. Just like carpet or timber, bricks of the same colour from different batches can vary, but with the right finish, you can achieve a polished, cohesive look across the entire building.

We had the pleasure of building this beautiful home for our amazing clients. Designed for comfort and relaxation, Kereru View is perfect for making lasting memories with family and friends.

Constructed using Formance SIPS panels, this build combines efficiency, sustainability, and modern design, creating a warm and sturdy home all year round.

From the open-plan living spaces to the breathtaking views and clever use of materials, Kereru View is a great example of the quality and care we put into every Simpson Residential project.

We’re officially closed until 5 January 🎄

The Simpson Residential crew is off celebrating with a bit of golf and a couple of afternoon beverages — proving once again that a little West Coast rain won’t stop play ⛳🌧️
A couple of the team didn’t quite make it into the golf photo, but we’re sure they won’t be too disappointed 😉

A little fence build recently — fitting it in between the showers 🌧️, but we got it done just in time for the owners to stain it when the sun finally came out! 💪
