A step by step guide of how we make our revolutionary Metra Panels:

Step One: The board is manufactured from reconstituted (recycled) New Zealand plantation pine wood fibre, bonded together with moisture resistant (MR) resins and waxes.

Step Two: The blended fibres are compressed under heat to form a structurally strong and moisture-resistant medium-density particleboard called “Superfine LB”.

Step Three Boards are then passed through a series of high-speed drum sanders that finish the surfaces to its Superfine finish on each face. Our re-manufacturing plant then applies a paint application to seal the panel further.

We like to be transparent about our processes because it makes things simpler, which is what we are all about.

Our panels are pressed by Laminex under license at their Taupo factory and remanufactured at the Metra Construction Panel factory in Huntly.
