Awesome to see this cabin coming together quickly high up in the beautiful Kauaeranga Valley, Thames. Proud to have supplied the Juken J-Frame Prenail frames for this local project, with an epic location to match. Ridge beam & rafters over the main area to be fitted soon, with a small verandah also to come to expand this cabin.

Big thanks to the team on-site for sending these photos through, as soon as we saw the address, we knew the views were going to be something special… and they definitely didn’t disappoint! ☀️🌿

𝗞𝗮𝗶𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 | 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲

Update shot from this build overlooking the Hauraki Plains and it’s awesome seeing the progress from foundations, through framing, and now into cladding.

What started as plans on paper is now really beginning to take shape, with the vertical timber cladding completely changing the feel of the home and tying in perfectly with the surrounding landscape.

One of the standout parts of this build is still the main living area with the high raking ceilings designed to open the space up and make the most of the outlook toward the bush with the port hole window for extra the touch from the clients background at sea.

Always cool looking back at the different stages of a build and seeing how quickly a project comes together/

𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 | 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀

One of the biggest advantages of a transportable home is the ability to keep projects moving efficiently all year round, especially through winter. "Winter is Coming"

With the home constructed in factory conditions, the framing stays dry, timelines are reduced, and the build process benefits from a high level of precision and consistency.

We recently supplied the Juken New Zealand J-Frame prenail for this modern transportable home built by Leisurecom Modular Homes in Cambridge, with the finished home making its way all the way back to Kerepehi here on the Hauraki Plains.

We don’t always get the opportunity to see our builds once completed, so having this one close to home was a great chance to get out on site and showcase the quality product we supply. Hopefully we can do more of this in the future and share more finished projects with the community.

We are excited to share some more great news from the team here at Pohutukawa Frame & Truss.

One of our in house Detailers, Anthony Fernandes, has officially been awarded his BCITO NZ Diploma in Frame and Truss Detailing through the BCITO - Building and Construction Industry Training Organisation. This Level 5 qualification is no small task, requiring commitment, skill, and a strong understanding of the building and detailing standards that keep our industry moving forward.

A huge effort from Anthony. By completing this course, he now joins our growing group of in house Qualified Detailers, becoming the fifth member of our team to achieve this qualification. This is another milestone not only for Anthony personally, but for our business as well. It highlights the direction we are heading in, the investment we continue to make into our people, and the standard of work we aim to consistently deliver.

With our detailing department continuing to strengthen, each qualification earned adds another layer of depth, knowledge, and reliability to what we offer our builders and clients.

We’re proud of the team we’re building and the expertise we continue to develop.

These new trusses are sitting in our yard after late design changes on a project, too good to cut up, so we’d rather see them put to use on someone else’s build.

• 2x 90mm Setdown (for outrigger) Gable Trusses. (Vert webs @ 600crs).
• 4x Standard Trusses designed with ceiling load.
• 13x Standard Trusses designed for no ceiling (garage spec), will require Bottom Chord Restraints, or can also be used with a ceiling if preferred.
• *Required Roof Pack can be supplied as an extra.
• PS1 Site documents if required.

Specs:
• 30° roof pitch.
• Very High Windzone.
• Corrugate Iron Roof loading.
• Standard 106mm heel.
• 600mm overhangs all round.
• Gable trusses overhang set back 45mm to suit fascia beam for a fly rafter.

$4,000 + GST — well below cost to clear space in the yard.
